Course Details

Q: What are the course expectations?
A: Most Microassist courses include practice activities that learners can download and complete.  These practice activities aid learners in mastering the material so they can immediately use the skills learned in the course.

Q: How long do the courses last?
A: Course lengths vary in seat time.  Self-directed courses have an average seat time, although the learner may take more or less time, depending on their individual needs.

Q: Are in-person courses currently available?
A: Your safety matters. In response to COVID-19, all of our in-person courses held at our Mircoassist Training Center in Austin, TX will be temporarily conducted online.  We are pleased to deliver live, instructor-led classes virtually for individuals and teams.  For our Austin, TX clients,  open enrollment classes will resume in person (onsite or at the Microassist Training Center) as safety dictates.

Q: What are “practice activities?”
A: Many Microassist courses include practice activities to help learners master the material. Practice activities may consist of interactive elements within a course or a separate file that learners can download and open to perform actions described in the lesson.  Most courses that contain downloadable files also contain a link to a completed practice document so that learners can compare their practice to a correct example. Practice activities will frequently require the use of third-party tools or applications and licensing such software or use thereof is not part of this course.

Q: Can I complete a course without completing the practice activities?
A: Yes, although Microassist highly recommends downloading and working through the practice activities throughout a course.

Q: Do I need a license for the software associated with this course?
A: Yes. Learners must have valid software licenses (purchased separately) to complete the exercises in the practice activities and to review course documents and other electronic assets. Software is often available on a trial basis, although sometimes a credit card is required to register for the trial.

Q: Where are my practice activities?
A: Not all of Microassist’s courses contain practice activities.  Certain topics also do not require supplemental practice, and therefore have no corresponding interactive elements or files.

Q: Can I share the practice activities?
A: Practice activities are owned by Microassist and may not be shared with others.

Q: My practice activities are not accessible.
A: Many of Microassist’s courses build from one topic to the next.  An inaccessible electronic asset may be used to help illustrate the deficiencies within a document or to provide a safe practice area for learners to make that electronic asset accessible.  An accessible version of the electronic will be provided at some point within the course.  Should you need further assistance, please contact [email protected].

Q: Do you offer audit, remediation, and training services?
A: Yes, Microassist offers all three services.  Contact [email protected] or visit www.microassist.com to get more information.
